Complete Rules

1. No purchase necessary. Contest starts March 26, 2008. Submit a letter of 300 words or less (the “Entry”) online at canadianliving.com/shape or by mail to: Shape Your Dreams Contest, 25 Sheppard Ave., West, Suite 100, Toronto, Ontario. The letter should describe your dreams, ambitions, desires, hopes and aspirations for living a healthy, balanced and inspired life and what steps you will take in realizing your dream. Along with the letter, include a recent photo of yourself, along with your name, address, daytime phone number and e-mail address. Limit of one Entry per person for the duration of the contest. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than once, your Entries will be void. Mailed Entries must be typed or clearly handwritten. Entries must be written in English. Illegible entries, bulk mailings, or reproductions are ineligible. All Entries must be received by 11:59pm, June 15, 2008. (EST).
2. Neither Transcontinental Media (“Contest Sponsor”) nor Saputo Inc. will be responsible for late, lost, destroyed, incomplete, illegible or wrongly addressed mail, or the failure or malfunction of any computer software, hardware or telecommunications equipment affecting participation in or any other aspect of this contest.
3. One grand-prize winner will be selected from all eligible Entries by the Canadian Living staff based on the following: the letter shows how the dreams are meaningful to the writer, the letter is well-written, and will appeal to Canadian Living readership as judged by Canadian Living editors. The prize: $5,000 cash towards fulfilling a dream. Value $5,000. Ten secondary prizes available to be won. Each prize consists of: a $100 gift certificate towards your chosen activity. Value: $100 per prize. The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable. Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value. The gift certificate will be sent by mail one week after the selection.
4. The selection from all eligible Entries received on or before the contest closing date will be made at 11:59 AM (EST) on June 23, 2008 in Toronto, 25 Sheppard Avenue West, Suite 100. In order to win, the selected entrants will be required to sign a standard publicity/liability release confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded; consenting to the use of their name and photo in any contest-related publicity, and releasing the Contest Sponsor and Saputo Inc. from liability. The grand-prize winner will be required to be available for a photo shoot. No substitution for, or transfer of, the prize will be allowed.
5. The contest is only open to female residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority according to the law of the province in which they reside, except employees of Contest Sponsor, Saputo Inc., their affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies and all persons with whom these employees are domiciled.
6. All decisions of the contest judge(s) are final. The chances of being selected depend upon the total number and quality of eligible Entries received. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to terminate this contest or to amend the contest rules at any time without notice.
7. All Entries become the property of Contests Sponsor and the information on these Entries will only be used for the purposes of the contest, in accordance with Contest Sponsor’s privacy policy at www.canadianliving.com unless entrants otherwise agree.
8. Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected Entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or Entry to be received by Contest Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or down loading any material in the promotion. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the e-mail portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Contest Sponsor corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Contests Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the independent judging panel, which are final.
